Calcium Bromide Liquid 52%

In upstream oil and gas operations, calcium bromide 52% solution is used as a completion and work over fluid to regulate well bore pressures. To provide a transparent, solid-free fluid throughout a broad range of densities and crystallization temperatures, it can be used alone or combined with calcium chloride, zinc/calcium bromide, and/or combinations of these.

Brine, or calcium bromide 52% solution, is a clear liquid that has a density of 1.7 grams/litre when it is between 20 and 25 degrees Celsius. This chemical solution has a maximum crystallization point of -7 degrees Celsius and a pH value of 7. With an average molar mass of almost 199.9 grams/mol, it has the chemical formula CaBr2.

Applications for calcium bromide 52% solution include food preservation, firefighting, photography, and drilling fluids. It can also be used as an oxidant to reduce mercury emissions. The chemical combination of calcium and bromine is called calcium bromide. Drilling fluids, medications for neuroses, freezing mixes, meal preservatives, pictures, and heart retardants are among the products that contain it.

Drilling fluids are made of dense aqueous solutions made of calcium bromide. Additionally, it's used in cardiac retardants, freezing mixtures, photography, and neuroses medications.
