Aluminium Stearate

Aluminium Stearate has exceptional transparency, remarkable adherence to metal surfaces, and a high degree of hydrophobic. In the building sector, they are utilized as hydrophobic agents because of their ability to repel water.

Comparing aluminium stearate to other metallic stearates, the former shows comparatively high solubility in hydrocarbon solvents. When heated, it becomes easily soluble in benzene, acids, and common solvents but insoluble in water, alcohol, and ether. It has excellent transparency, good gelling and thickening qualities, and works well in combination with calcium or zinc stearate.

The lubricant aluminium stearate is used in the manufacturing of thermosetting polymers and polyamides. Moreover, it is employed as a thickening agent in the lacquer and varnish manufacturing process.
