Wood inlay is a home decor trend in which fragments of bone and Shell are adhered to the frame of a furniture piece. It is most commonly used on flat surfaces – such as the sides and tops of tables, or the front of a sideboard.
 
The inlay furniture is made in the magical region of Rajasthan India, using honorably sourced camel bone and mother of pearl shell.Each piece is handcrafted by artisans in a process that can take weeks. Delicate carved pieces of bone / wood and shell are individually inlaid onto a wooden frame in elaborate intricate patterns. Layers of colored resin are then used to fill around the bone / wood and mother of pearl shell.
